AND , individually , apply(by-self) , 'what-ever' we have learned/realized 'works' , for our life , in this in-sanely racist/colorist amerikkkan society that we are in .....
Lisa .... as I look at your photo, the caption under reads , .... that you are a single mother... and had originally started reading your article while I was scanning through a 'black-life-oriented' web-publication .
Do you identify as African - Black - Asian - White .... Pacific Islander ?? If you wanted to acieve ambiguity , you most certainly have , in my eyes ... and I suppose , and very un-fortunately so(in Amerikkka) , not apearing too black , IS AN 'public MO' , for , oh-SO-many , in our communities-of-color ....
So many of our black women have been shown by their own families , and society ..... 'how' - to practice , 'self-'hate' , or , in-other-words , how , NOT , to practice what , so many in the oppressor society , have had instilled by , and through the built-in support of an institutionally racist/colorist/euro-centric/beauty standard .... I leave you with THIS thought Lisa ... How 'many' , of our black women of color , wear their hair , 'naturally' ... Peace(and keep-up-the-good-work, smile)
